Center for Democracy and Human Rights

The Centre for Democracy and Human Rights (CDD) (https://cddmoz.org/) is a democracy and human-rights organisation. It is member of the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) and the International Code of Conduct Association (ICoCA). CDD’s work is centred on democracy and human rights, youth leadership and gender justice, economic justice, and peace and security. CDD builds capacity within society to promote transparency, accountability, youth participation, legislation that supports women and vulnerable people, fair and inclusive fiscal policies and climate-sensitive economic development. It also works to strengthen key institutions and contribute to coherent policies that are consistent with the humanitarian–development–peace (HDP) nexus. The resulting outcomes will enable citizen’s voices to shape political decision-making, inspire rights-based agendas and equality, promote inclusive and sustainable economic processes and effective mechanisms to ensure peace and security. The impact will lead to a more resilient, inclusive, democratic and human-rights-respecting society, free from violent conflict.
