From 2016 to-date I have had the chance to build practical knowledge on risk management through participation in regional training workshops on building capacity in revenue authorities conducted by Afritac East. Over the last six years I have been part of a team assigned to start risk management unit in Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) during which have developed Risk Management framework and policy that has helped to embed risk management in Domestic Tax Department. Previously while working in Taxpayer Services (TPS) within Domestic Taxes Department, I participated in managing of successful transition to itax (Kenya Revenue Authority online taxpayer platform) which involved extensive system and process changes affecting both internal and external stakeholders. Having joined KRA when it had just been converted as Semi-Autonomous Government Agency (SAGA), I have been part of several revenue transformation initiatives which have allowed me to gain substantial insight on revenue management.
